Who We Are
We are people from all faiths decrying the dismantling of compassionate foreign aid and the destruction of programs that provide food, medicine and health care to those in need around the world.
Our shared mission, springing from the bedrock principles of all of our faiths, is to act so that God’s love is felt by all. There are no qualifiers. God blesses no country over another and no people over another. God’s steadfast love extends to all in every corner of the world.
We implore all people of faith to put aside the clamor of politics and focus on God's commandment to love one another. Every life is sacred to God. Yet, through the actions of the U.S. government and in our name as its people, hundreds of people are dying each day from preventable diseases and starvation. Soon it will be thousands of deaths each day.
Millions of children will suffer and tens of thousands will die because of the shutdown of U.S. funded programs that fight malaria, HIV and tuberculosis, provide nutrition and clean water, respond to famine and natural disasters, and ensure maternal and infant health in some of the world’s poorest countries.
We believe that compassionate foreign aid represents the best of the American character—generosity, concern for others, and the sharing of our science, medicine, agriculture and more for the betterment of all humankind.
Join us in the call for restoration of U.S. compassionate foreign aid and save lives now.
